responsible for the administration of Oak Bay's bylaws
pertaining to the construction of buildings, structures,
and fences and for ensuring compliance with the B.C.
Building Code.
All construction work of a structural
nature or with a value of $500 or more, requires

anytime. If you call after office hours, please be
sure to leave a voice message with the civic address of the building
site, the date for which the inspection is requested,
the type of inspection requested (e.g., foundation,
framing, insulation, plumbing, final, etc) and your
