The Engineering Department is responsible
for planning and design work in connection
with the construction and renewal of most
categories of municipal infrastructure such
as sewers, drains, roads, sidewalks and
water mains.
Through the Director of Engineering
Services, the Department also advises
Council on traffic control issues within the
Municipality.
The Engineering Department maintains the
geographic information system data base,
which is the repository of a wide range of
geographically referenced information on
individual properties, roads and parks
throughout the Municipality.
